Our thanks to Irene Healy

Walsingham Care wishes to record its thanks to the estate of Irene Healy for a wonderfully generous legacy of £10,000 received recently.

Irene Healy was a long-time resident of Elmbridge and, together with her husband Fred, throughout their lives actively participated in supporting and fundraising for local events, institutions and charities.

Irene was a great friend and a positive influence in the lives of many and we are truly grateful for the opportunity that this donation gives us to help more older people in need locally.

Irene always used to say that you cannot live your life on “Ifs”:

If only this or that. She was of course correct, and that is how she lived herself – making the best of what she had, or could do, and being there for others as well.

We are ALL only here for a short time – so maybe just make the most of it – like Irene did.
